How often do you go to the wardrobe and find that you have nothing to wear although you have a cupboard full of clothes! Very often the reason for this is that we cannot find the colour we need to wear that day.
Its very natural for us to get attracted to wearing what we like however it is important to even wear the colors we don’t like. This is because we need the energy of all colors of the spectrum.
Just as one suffers from a deficiency of vitamins, we can also experience a deficiency in colour. It is very often the case that the colors we don’t like are the ones we need. That’s why I advise my clients to introduce such a colour gradually, if done with too much force one could subconsciously reject this colour. If you dislike a colour you are bound to need its energy so it’s important to introduce it someway or the other.
An example of a colour that many people dislike wearing is orange, however we all need orange as it stimulates our immune system and also attracts joy to our lives. I recently advised a client on choosing foods of this colour such as oranges, this is one way in which the client would absorb its energy into his life. One could also wear an orange accessory such as socks or a scarf that would still have an effect.
Too much of anything is not good for us. This applies to color too. Wearing too much of any colour tells us that we have an energy imbalance. Regular wearing of black, white, grey and brown usually indicates that the wearer has a problem and needs healing. In this instance I help my clients by advising them to gradually add a little of other strong bright colors.
I noticed that a client of mine who was suffering from mild depression would very often wear blue. I advised him to introduce a warm uplifting shade into his wardrobe. Upon doing so in time he felt a gentle lift in his mood.
Wearing clothes of a certain colour tells us a lot about oneself and in observing others too. Whether it be a statement about oneself and self-esteem or a reflection on one’s economic situation or personality.
